Tyre Speed Ratings

Use the table below left to ensure you purchase the correct tyres for your motorcycle. Tyres marked HB or VB have a Bias Belted construction. The R designation means the tyre has a radial construction. The W rating is a tyre industry standard and is now used in place of the motorcycle specific Z rating. The Z rating is still used to distinguish a radial constructed tyre “ZR” as being rated over 149mph (240kph)5

Load Index Ratings (KG)

The tyre load index determines the maxium permitted load for a given tyre. The index can be found on the sidewall.
